GotPhoto’s New Chapter: James Micklethwait Appointed CEO, Benedikt Greifenhofer Transitions to Board Role

We are delighted to announce an exciting new chapter for GotPhoto! Effective from 7th January 2025, James Micklethwait, our Chief Product and Growth Officer, will step into the role of CEO, while our current CEO, Benedikt Greifenhoffer, transitions to a position on the Board. This marks an important milestone in GotPhoto’s journey, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about the opportunities this brings for our customers, partners, and team. James joins us with a wealth of commercial, product, and leadership experience, having most recently led Kahoot!’s B2B business. During his six months with GotPhoto, James has already demonstrated remarkable leadership abilities and a deep passion for the photography industry.

Benedikt shares: 

“James is, from my point of view, the perfect successor to take on the CEO role. He has the right capabilities and experiences to build the GotPhoto platform further to fit our customers’ needs and help them grow their business. I firmly believe that with James’ extensive experience, GotPhoto’s future is exceptionally bright.
